Please join us for our annual Shakespeare's Birthday Lecture! We invite you to celebrate the Bard's 459th birthday on Wednesday, April 12 at 12 Noon in the Charlton College of Business Room 149.
This year, we are pleased to offer a panel of three short presentations on a wide range of topics related to Shakespeare, his works, and the early modern world in which they were written and performed:
Julie Bowman, Department of English & Communication: “Shakespeare Between the Sheets"
Timothy Walker, Department of History, “All the world's a stage: Expanding the Horizons of Shakespeare's World in the 16th and 17th Centuries"
Jay Zysk, Department of English & Communication, “Writing the Body in Shakespeare and Early Modern Cookbooks"
The panel will last about 45 minutes in total with time for Q&A at the end. Lunch and refreshments will be served.
