Description: Aligning Assessment Rubrics to Department Assessment Plans (Kathy Miraglia, Art Edcuation; Lisa Knauer, Sociology/Anthropology; Rachel Rebello, Instructional Development)
Presenters share techniques for developing learning objectives-based rubrics for their course assignments in this action-oriented workshop. Connecting rubrics which detail how students will demonstrate what they have learned through various tasks to individual department assessment plans provides a cohesive rationale for programs. Join us to discuss several different approaches across disciplines and develop strategies for your own coursework assessment. Faculty participants will bring syllabi and work on creating objectives-based rubrics for their courses.
Lunch will be served; if you wish to attend, please register through the Events calendar on UMD website.
