Description: As a supervisor of union employees, it is important that you understand the terms and condition of the union contract. Doing so will ensure respectful employee relations and a productive work environment. This is a 3 part series that will provide great insight to AFSCME and ESU Contracts as it pertains to:
* The performance management process and forms as well as progressive discipline
* The steps of the grievance process and your role
* Responsibilities and rules for managing and accounting for time and attendance
* Personnel management issues including promotions, vacancies, upgrades, reclassifications, etc
* Management rights and more.
