Description: Michael Jones from the Maritime Alliance will be here at the CIE for a 8:00AM - 9:30AM breakfast info session on July 28th, 2017. The Maritime Alliance is a non-profit industry association whose mission is Promoting Sustainable Science-Based Ocean & Water Industries and a proud member of the BlueTech Cluster Alliance. Join us to learn about the different programs/initiatives that Michael can offer to your company. If you are interested in attending the Oceanology International in London March 13-15th 2018 or the BlueTech Week during November 6-10th 2017, then Michael will be able to answer your questions about the application process.
Michael Jones is Founder and President of The Maritime Alliance (TMA) in San Diego, CA. TMA is an 11-year old, non-profit industry association and organizer of the largest U.S. BlueTech (ocean & water technology) cluster and one of the largest in the world. Its Mission Statement is “Promoting Sustainable, Science-Based Ocean & Water Industriesâ€. TMA have a strong outreach effort to organize regional Blue Economy/BlueTech clusters and helped form the BlueTech Cluster Alliance with 8 leading BlueTech clusters in 7 countries. Michael studied in Germany, Italy, Peru, and the U.S. He is an angel investor, entrepreneur, founder of several non-profits, investment banker, and periodic part-time CFO. He is a non-resident Senior Fellow at The Foreign Policy Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC to focus on the oceans the Blue Economy.
