Narcan Opioid Overdose Prevention Training

Description: Opioid overdose is the leading cause of injury death in Massachusetts. In an overdose, opioids can slow breathing to the point of death. Naloxone, otherwise known as Narcan, blocks the opioids and restores normal breathing when sprayed into the nose of someone who has overdosed. It is safe, easy to administer, and has no potential for abuse.

Participants in this training will learn how to recognize signs of an overdose, perform rescue breathing, + administer Narcan.

This training, provided by Seven Hills, is FREE + OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Light refreshments will be served.
