Description: Leslie Jamison is the author of The Gin Closet: A Novel, and The Empathy Exams, a collection of essays that was a New York Times bestseller. She has written for Harper's, The Virginia Quarterly Review, The Oxford American, and The Believer, and is a columnist for the New York Times Book Review. She teaches in the M.F.A. program at Columbia University.
