Description: Topic: OVERVIEW OF KNOWLEDGE BASE SYSTEMS
Location: Lester W. Cory Conference Room, Science & Engineering Building (SENG), Room 213A
Abstract:
Knowledge base systems have been used for many applications, from giving medical advice, helping people with their taxes, and playing Jeopardy. Knowledge bases utilize various techniques in their design. This paper will discuss the Ncodes system that utilizes both rule and case based analyses. Pattern Matching Recognition algorithms are also discussed. Along with potential advances in knowledge bases that could be researched to improve on current designs.
Note: All ECE Graduate Students are ENCOURAGED to attend.
All interested parties are invited to attend. Open to the public.
Advisor: Dr. Paul J. Fortier
Committee Members: Dr. Liudong Xing and Dr. Benjamin Viall, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering
