Abstract:
Dr. Christopher Neill is a Senior Scientist at the Woods Hole Research Center in Falmouth, MA. Dr. Neill's research investigates the impacts of
deforestation and the intensification of crop agriculture on soil chemistry, stream and watershed water quality, and the global climate. His talk
will focus on his work in Mato Grosso, Brazil, progress on understanding the potential and limits of intensifying Amazon crop agriculture, and ideas
on how to limit deforestation, manage agriculture, and stabilize climate.
