Mandatory Professional Development for Supervisors of ESU Members

Description: As we head into the upcoming ESU annual performance evaluation period, the Office of Human Resources is offering an important professional development opportunity to help prepare supervisors of ESU members on how to properly conduct an effective performance review.
This workshop, which I will personally administer will include best practices for conducting an effective performance review, including what to document, what to say, and how to say it. I will also cover practical action steps you can take such as writing a review, and delivering a review discussion. This workshop is mandatory for all supervisors of ESU members, new and otherwise.
This is a great opportunity for new supervisors to learn the ropes and avoid common mistakes as well as a refresher for seasoned managers to hone their skills.
We are offering three sessions to choose from:
Monday, October 7th 9:30 a.m. in the Library Grand Reading Room
Monday, October 7th 2p.m. in the Library Grand Reading Room
Wednesday, October 30th 9a.m. in the Library Grand Reading Room
There is no need to register, but please ensure that you attend one of these sessions.
Performance reviews done well can be an effective tool for motivating employees and fostering positive change on campus. We look forward to partnering with the campus to ensure that everyone is well prepared and confident to conduct effective performance reviews.
