Attending this seminar will provide participants with an overview of each tool, examples of effective collaborative assignments, and strategies for incorporating each tool and collaborative work successfully into their course work. Note: Please bring one of your current group assignments with you to the seminar. There will be time towards the end of the seminar to begin the redesign of your current group assignment using the most effective digital tool for your objectives.

  • Emerging Young Artists 2015 Invitational Exhibition
  • Location: CVPA: College of Visual and Performing Arts , 285 Old Westport Road, Dartmouth, MA
  • Contact: University Art Gallery
  • Description: UMass Dartmouth's College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) presents the Emerging Young Artists 2015 Invitational Exhibition at the Campus Gallery, located on the main campus of UMass Dartmouth, through February 7, 2015. UMass Dartmouth's CVPA is thrilled to host this third annual high school invitational exhibition to showcase the work of many of the region's talented art students. Students from more than 25 Massachusetts high schools were invited to be part of the exhibition. Schools were chosen based on their long-term commitment to art education and for the quality of work that comes from their art programs. The art teachers from these high schools were asked to select artwork in any media (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, film, video, printmaking, graphic design etc.) from their best students to be included in this group exhibition. The result is a marvelous exhibit that showcases the talents of these young artists. More than 100 works is on display. An opening reception for the exhibiting young artists, their art teachers, the UMass Dartmouth community, and the general public will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 2 p.m., with an awards presentation at 3:30 p.m., at the Gallery.
