An overview of emergency preparedness, disaster resiliency and continuity of operations that are being implemented. Also, how you should prepare for basic emergencies at work, at home, and when you travel. Lastly, some basic fire safety tips and evacuation planning for our campus.

Sustainability in the Classroom

- Description: If you are interested in reducing your personal energy, paper and toner consumption, this workshop is for you. It provides practical suggestions and software tools for reducing your energy and paper use in and out of the classroom. It explores which equipment uses the most energy, and how to get the most out of the resources you really need to use.

Faculty Writing Workshop
- Location: OFD Lounge, Library 220

- Description: Wednesday, October 15, 12-1:30pm in OFD Lounge
The Office of Faculty Development’s Writing Group for Faculty provides UMass Dartmouth faculty with a structured yet flexible forum for discussing and stimulating their ongoing writing projects. The group will meet every three weeks on Wednesday in the OFD Lounge. Lunch will be provided. Regular participation throughout the academic year is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome.
This workshop series will be facilitated by Maureen Eckert, Associate Professor, Philosophy. Please contact Maureen Eckert at meckert@umassd.edu with any questions.
