UMass Dartmouth University Art Gallery in Downtown New Bedford presents an exhibition "Parreeee!" inspired by our perceptions of French culture.

The gallery has a wall available for postings of materials measuring up to 8.5x11 inches. This is open to anyone who would like to contribute a work of art, a poem, and/or a letter or postcard sent from a real or imagined trip to Paris.

Online Teaching and Learning Strategies

- Description: In this course, we will introduce you to current research and best practices for online teaching as well as showcase examples of successful teaching and learning strategies for the online environment.
Throughout the course you will work both independently and collaboratively with your peers to gain valuable online course transition experience and develop your own strategies for online teaching and learning. As a participant, you will learn both pedagogical aspects of teaching online as well as how to use and incorporate many of the tools available in the myCourses Learning Management System used at UMassD.
The ultimate goal of the course is to have you begin planning, organizing, and building the online course you eventually plan to teach. In addition, this course will introduce you to techniques that will teach you how to self-assess course site design to ensure student ease of access to course content and to facilitate more streamlined student learning and increase retention.

Recording with Techsmith Relay

- Description: Techsmith Relay is a software based lecture capture and personal recording solution. Relay can record PowerPoint presentations or any other content displayed on your computer screen, in addition to audio narration and web cam video. You can record anywhere, anytime regardless of internet connectivity or location. After recording, the video is automatically processed by the Relay server and uploaded to a cloud based storage provider. This workshop will walk through the process of installing Relay, recording and linking to the video from myCourses. Please bring your own laptop if you would like to participate in this Workshop.
