- Description: UMass Dartmouth hosts the 2016 LusoFest, March 9-12.
The UMass Dartmouth community and the general public are invited to a celebration of Portuguese heritage and culture at the 2016 LusoFest, March 9-12, presented by UMass Dartmouth's Fitzpatrick Luso-American Endowment and the Fall River Public Schools Fine Arts Department.
The celebration will include a series of performances and lectures hosted on UMass Dartmouth's campus. 2016 LusoFest includes:

Portuguese rock band "Os Desalinhados"
Followed by a jam session and discussion.

Fado singer Ana Vinagre will be accompanied by Sr. Viriato Ferreira and Sr. Jose Silva, followed by the Rancho Folklorico Portugues (Portuguese United for Education). Special introduction by photographer Peter Pereira.

The film explores the events that fate alone controls and displays the constant "what if's" that occur every moment and that can easily change the happenings of the next. The film follows the events between a woman, Lola, and her boyfriend, Manni, who she desperately tries to save from death by helping him obtain a huge amount of money he carelessly lost. It takes you on three different journeys with Lola, all controlled by fate, showing you what would happen in each, and all the "what if's" that provide the foundations for each outcome.
