Description: The Claire T. Carney Library Associates proudly presents an afternoon of Irish culture entitled Irish Lifelines. The event will take place in the First Fed/Stoico Grand Reading Room in the Claire T. Carney Library at 2 PM. There will be live Irish music performed by violinist Eliza Bowes followed by a lecture on 20th century Irish culture by Fr. Oliver Rafferty, the director of Irish studies at Boston College and the author of several books on Irish, British and Ecclesiastical history. There will be a display of Irish crafts and a light reception featuring Irish foods.
