Description: UMASS Dartmouth's Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies invites the UMassD Community to the 5th annual TRED Conference-"Rethinking Public Schools: Education, Immigration, and Economic Development" at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, November 18th and 19th.
Dr. Jonathan Kozol will be speaking Friday, November 18th at 6 PM, and Dr. Theresa Perry will be speaking Saturday, November 19th at 9:30 AM.
Registration begins at 5PM on Friday, and 8:30 AM on Saturday. Lectures are free and open to the public. General conference fee is $25. Free admission and transportation are available for registered UMASS students with ID.
The keynote address is co-sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office, the departments of Political Science and STEM & Teacher Development. The TRED conference is co-sponsored by the Graduate Student Senate.
