Description: Experimental Self-Portraiture in Cyanotype

Exhibition Dates: November 6-12, 2016
The students in the Photo Printmaking class are exhibiting the result of a self-portrait assignment using a large format pinhole camera and using 16 X 20 inch film. The resulting pinhole negatives were then printed on paper using a 19th century process called Cyanotype. Students experimented with available light and long exposure times, which is evident in several images where movement can be detected. Also pinhole creates a unique depth of field which is also noticeable in the finished works.
