Description: Topic: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF GENERATIVE ADVERSARIAL NETWORKS FOR IMAGE GENERATION

Location: Lester W. Cory Conference Room, Science & Engineering Building (SENG), Room 213A

Abstract:
Creating art and realistic images using generative model is a challenge task. The recent Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), which is implemented by a generator and a discriminator competing against each other, show promising results to generate images. By applying GAN models on images, creative designs beyond human's imagination could be generated by machine. In this study, I conduct experiments and use various GANs to create images, like handbags, food, cars. I also analyze the advantages and disadvantages of multiple GAN structures on different tasks.
