This session will build your capacity to respond to student survivors of sexual violence in the event they disclose to you in person or in writing. Together, we will discuss current "responsible employee" reporting procedures (also known as mandatory reporting) for Title IX, and explain what happens after a report is filed. We will review trauma-informed best practices for responding to student survivors, and offer information about campus advocacy services, including new academic advocacy options, that are available to survivors through the campus Victim Advocate. Please bring questions, concerns, and visions for the future, we will have ample time to discuss our campus policies and procedures.
