Description: Graduate Student Orientation is an opportunity to acquaint new graduate students with various aspects of university life, including relevant academic policies and procedures. There are some important differences in academic policy, for instance, between graduate students and undergraduate students. So even if you earned your baccalaureate degree from UMass Dartmouth, we think the orientation program will help you to understand and navigate those differences.
Attendance at the orientation program is recommended for all new graduate students. Students who receive assistantships and/or fellowships are required to attend.
The first session will commence at 9am. For some, the day will conclude at 12:15pm. For others, attendance at afternoon sessions is also expected. The entire program is virtual.
