Contemplative Practices and Pedagogy Faculty Learning Community

When: Monday, September 18, 2023
12:00 PM - 1:15 PM
Where: Claire T. Carney Library, Office of Faculty Development
Description: Why do you teach? What is happening in your peak teaching moments? How do you continue to nurture that spark? In this first of four sessions during the fall semester, the Contemplative Practices and Pedagogy Faculty Learning Community will explore how we find and maintain what animates our teaching.

Background: This FLC, started last year, focuses broadly on ways to incorporate contemplative practices into the classroom. These practices can be as simple as reflective journaling or deep reading. The community supports and encourages colleagues who want to incorporate these practices into their classrooms. Each session is a stand-alone event, and all are welcome to join us for any or all sessions. Participants need no prior experience and --bonus--no advance reading or prep required!
Topical Areas: Faculty, Faculty Development
