Description: Game-based learning is a pedagogy that uses games and game thinking to engage and motivate students and promote learning, teamwork, and problem-solving. An exemplar game used to promote learning about social determinants of health in one honors course will be shared. Strengths and weaknesses of this type of pedagogy as well as outcomes in undergraduate students on behavioral, cognitive, and affective domains will be discussed.
