48th Annual Arnold M. Dubin Labor Education Center Awards

Description: Join us to celebrate our awardees' lifelong accomplishments to movement leadership, Multi-English and Adult education, workers' rights, economic justice and public higher education.

We will award the movement building efforts of Rev. Dr. William Joseph Barber II, Co-Chair of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, Founding Director of the Center for Public Theology and Public Policy at Yale Divinity School, Political Action Committee Chair of the NAACP and the Architect of the Forward Together Moral Movement.

Recognize the life changing Multi-language and Adult education provided by Workers' Education Program's Lisa Jochim who has directed the program for over 35 years, from 1988 to 2024.

Acknowledge the positive contributions of Cynthia Rodrigues to the lives of workers in our region as the Retired Former President of the Greater Southeastern Mass Labor Council and as the Retired Business Agent of the New England Joint Board UNITE HERE, AFL-CIO.

Honor the impact of President Steven A. Tolman's leadership of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, and his advocacy to improve working conditions, to foster positive economic policies and to increase support for Public Education as a member of the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees.
