Description: Thursday, October 26, 2023 - Library Room 135 (DiSH) or via Zoom - 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. In 2010, a container ship and a cargo ship carrying critical project material collided off the Mumbai shore. Operations at India's biggest container port were affected after the collision. There were significant environmental concerns as well as serious supply chain management issues for an important ongoing capital-intensive project following this unexpected event. In this presentation, Sanjeev K Pathak, will talk about his first-hand account of this incident, resolution of the implications as well as the paper he intends to publish about the supply chain issues surrounding this wreck.
