Abstract:
Boston Engineering is a well respected engineering consultancy that has been in business for over 20 years. Recently, for the past six years, we have been working more and more in the Maritime world. We have set up an office in the new CIE building at 151 Martine Street in Fall River, where we have quick access to the Watuppa Pond and the nearby ocean. We have won nine Maritime based SBIRs, several of which will be described in this talk. I will discuss the Bioswimmer; an innovative UUV that is based on the motions of a Blue-fin Tuna. Also a new small Profiling CTD, designed for NOAA, will be shown, and our latest communications device for underwater vehicles the TAS-a towed antenna system.

Note: Seminar will be simulcast to SMAST II, Room 325.
