Abstract: Development of offshore wind in the United States is proceeding at an astounding pace, and may impact a broad range of ecosystems services and people who rely on them. The Responsible Offshore Science Alliance (ROSA) was formed to deepen scientific understanding of interactions between wind energy, fish, and fishing by advancing regional research and monitoring through collaboration and cooperation. We work as a nexus for all stakeholders and are tasked with grappling with the thorny challenges arising from offshore wind development. This talk will provide background on ROSA and an update on recent activities from ROSA’s second year and our ongoing efforts.
