Description: Take part in the New Bedford Historical Society's communal reading of Frederick Douglass' fiery 1852 speech, "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July". The Society invites SouthCoast residents to read Douglass together starting at 6pm on (Wed) July 17 at the Seamen's Bethel, 15 Johnny Cake Hill, in New Bedford.
