Flu Vaccine Clinic - October 5 & 6

Flu Vaccine Clinic - October 5 & 6
When: Tuesday, October 5, 2021
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Where: Woodland Commons
Description: It is always important to get a flu shot. But with COVID-19, it is even more important this year. Flu is a dangerous disease, but it can be even more deadly when combined with the risks associated with COVID-19. Fortunately, UMass Dartmouth in association with Walgreens is here to help!

Human Resources has partnered with Walgreens to help the campus community obtain easy access to flu shots through flu vaccination clinics on Tuesday, October 5, and Wednesday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Woodland Commons. According to the CDC, the flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. The first and most important step in preventing flu is to get a flu vaccine each year. The flu vaccine has been shown to reduce flu-related illnesses and the risk of serious flu complications that can result in hospitalization or even death.

Visit to schedule your appointment on either Tuesday, October 5, or Wednesday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive the necessary forms that must be completed before arriving at your scheduled appointment.
Appointments are encouraged, but walk ups are also welcome.

All members of the campus community including family, friends, and the local community are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of these convenient opportunities to receive the flu shot.
